NYC Digital Safety
NYC Digital Safety: Privacy & Security
I’m proud to have worked as project manager on this important program. Working with NYC’s three library systems and the Mayor’s Office of the Chief Technology Officer, I helped provide critical training for library staff on data privacy and online security.
This project is a partnership between New York City’s three library systems — Brooklyn Public Library, The New York Public Library, and Queens Library — and METRO Library Council. With support from the City of New York Mayor’s Office of the Chief Technology Officer, this project ensures that NYC residents can rely on public libraries for their questions about internet privacy and security.
In phase one of this project, we ultimately 1,000+ library staff members throughout NYC. Phase 2 of this project will feature updated curriculum for library staff as well as members of the public.
