Web Literacy for Library Staff

Web Literacy for Library Staff
From June 2016 through March 2018, I led METRO’s efforts in the Web Literacy Skills for Library Staff pilot project. My work included the facilitation of twelve web literacy pilot workshops, participation in Mozilla’s Web Literacy Leaders program, and collecting and sharing data to help improve Mozilla’s open curriculum.
The Web Literacy Skills for Library Staff project, funded by the Institute for Museum and Library Services, adapted and refined Mozilla’s Web Literacy training and tools, as well as digital badges/credentials, to help library staff improve their web literacy skills. Throughout the pilot, Mozilla facilitated a community of practice, which included online collaboration and monthly community calls to share challenges, opportunities, and lessons learned.
